Generally, data acquisition means data acquisition. However, in computer terminology, data acquisition is defined as the process of standardizing real-world data to produce the data to be processed by the computer system. The data is in the form of waveforms or signals. These signals are obtained using different tools and devices. The data obtained can be stored on the computer using vendor-supplied software and control can be made using programming languages like Basic, Pascal, FORTRAN, C etc.
Data acquisition systems, as the name implies, are products or systems used to collect data or information from a specific source. Data acquisition systems are distinguished on the following basis: serial communication, USB, parallel ports and component boards.
Without going into details, here are the details for the various data acquisition panels.
Signatec PDA1000: This is the data acquisition product provided by Signatec. PDA100 is a 64-bit data acquisition plate compatible with PCI equipment equipment. Plug and Play is standard on all PCI devices. The analog bandwidth of DC to 500MHz and the digitization rate of up to 1MHz makes it remarkably unique in its class. The bus you use is the Signatec Auxiliary Bus (SAB). This bus can allow the transfer of 500MB per second. Multiple PDA1000 panels can be connected to the same DAQ PDA1000 board in master and slave configuration through a connecting port. It has six selectable signals ranging from 200 million volts with a maximum of 3.2 volts.
OME-PCI-1002 Series: The omega data acquisition plate. It features a 12-bit 110 kHz analog to PCI board digital adapter. The PCI board provides 32 single or 16 differential inputs along with 16 digital inputs and 16 digital output channels. This series of PCI boards provide a sampling rate of 110 KS / s. However, the inside of the chain may vary depending on whether the channels are single or multiple. Unlike many other corporate boards, omega OME-PCI-1002 comes with a Windows 98 / NT / 2000 / XP compatible software development kit. This software development kit includes DLLs for high-level programming languages and OCX files for Active X scripting.
IOTech DaqBoard-3000 Series: This multifunctional data acquisition board is integrated with four 1MHz PCI boards. Unlike the OME-PCI-1002 board, this board has 16 mono or 8 analog inputs with an option to expand it to 64 mono analog inputs or 32 differential inputs. DaqBoard-3000 series includes 24 high-speed digital I / O lines. There are four 32-bit input channels with Quad coding capability. It supports many DMA channels and the USB version of this motherboard is also available on the market.
