Shahid Rajuru College of Applied Sciences for Women is another college affiliated with the League of Arab States that offers many professional and vocational courses that may not be on the popular radar but are highly employable. The various vocational and professional courses offered by the college are uniquely designed to bridge the gap between the university and the industry. The hands-on, hands-on training in our curricula fills the gaps of traditional pure science courses.

The college's three-year degree programs are BA (Hons) in electronics, hardware, food technology, computer science and biomedical science. All of these interdisciplinary professional courses and students receive eight weeks of industry training in the second and third years.

This year, the college has received about 15,000 applications for various professional courses with the most computer science, followed by food technology and biomedical science. However, electronics and appliances offer equally good opportunities. Electronics students are either working in the IT industry or studying at various universities including IITs.

Students also have a multiple choice to join the CCNA (Cisco Certified Networking Associate) add-on course, which is recognized worldwide and helps with placements. Although many students move on to obtain a PhD, the college assists them in the placements.

In the past, students were mainly employed in IT companies such as HCL, Sapient, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, Siemens, Wipro, Motorola, LG Electronics, NTPC, Dabur, Nirulas, Kwality, Glaxo Smithkline, TERI, National Heart Institute, Jubiliant Organosys and Ranbaxy Labs, among others.

The starting salaries offered to students range from 20,000 to 40,000 rupees per month.
